    Who Uses a Pace Calculator?

Pace calculators are useful for both new runners and expert runners. Whether you’re running your first race, trying to PR, or going on a training run, knowing your pace can help you train and run better.

What Can You Calculate with a Pace Calculator?

    • Determine how fast your pace should be if you have a certain finish time for a desired distance or race. For example, find out what pace you need to keep to run a 28-minute 5K or a sub-2:00 half marathon.
    • Determine what your pace was for your training run around the neighborhood or track. For example, find out how fast your pace was for that 46-minute 5-mile training run.
    • Determine the distance you ran. For example, you can calculate the distance you ran by inputting the pace you ran at and the duration of your training run or race

    Got Your Calculated Pace?

Ready to start training? Here are a few things to know before you get started.

    • Learning how to run well takes sustained effort. You can’t hope to go on a couple of runs and suddenly feel comfortable signing up for a 5k or half marathon. You need to find consistency and stick to a training program, regardless of if the weather is bad or if you are tired from your workday.
    • Challenge yourself little by little every time you run. You don’t have to run to the very end of your capability every time you go out. Get used to sustained running first. So, start by mixing running and walking and then try to run more often than you walk.
    • Training for a big race is a great goal! Slowly increase your training runs up to your goal pace and distance.
    • Follow an expert built training plan to accelerate your results and reduce the risk of injury.
